This origami inspired house in Tokyo designed by architect Yasuhiro Yamashita of Atelier Takuto shows off excellent lines and shape without sacrificing form and function. Along with an integrated car port, which balances handsomely on a single point at its base; this innovative design is a fantastic solution plaguing crowded urban cities.

I am a nine year old origami enthusiast from the Philippines. My mom laughed everytime I tell her I would make a house patterned from origami structures when I become an engineer someday. Your house is great! I will show it to my mom and maybe she will no longer laugh at my dream because it’s possible to have an origami house.
WONDERFULLLLLL
oh wow i want the same house
The design is certainly impressive, and the house looks nicer than most Japanese suburban houses. However, how does it solve the crowding problem? Is it providing more space than an equivalent conventional design?
Beautiful house, really, wow!
and Malvin, I bet you will build your origami house someday. Don’t give up!
