Well, that’s it. The summer. Even though the coming week seems to be nice again in the coming week, the real sun and heat are now leaving. Such a pity! Can a sunshine September make it even better for you? Read on soon, because I share a few of which you will not be depressed when you see the price tag.
Ideal sunshine September in Spain
With Ryanair you fly in September on different dates back to Alicante for around 100 euros per person, eg on September 20th and back on the 27th. From Alicante you have all the choice on the beach area. Hate the Costa’s high tower flats? At half an hour from Alicante is Villajoyosa, a picturesque village with brightly colored houses and a very laid back beach, especially during the off-season. With the tram from Alicante center you are in for a few euros in Villajoyosa. You can also take the airport bus to Benidorm and transfer there. Over the next few weeks, the beaches of the Costa Blanca are daily 28 or 29 degrees and sunlit. Something may be boring again, but it’s nice.
Overnight Villajoyosa: For no more than 50 euros a night you sleep in Pension Rosa , 400 meters from the beach. Want some more luxury and even closer to the beach? Then Hotel Censal might be something for you. For families, there are also nice apartments available, such as the one where you can even roll to the beach. 😉
Villajoyosa: nice place for a sun holiday September
Combining beach and culture
Another degree will be the coming weeks in Valencia. This city is ideal for those who like culture, but to make a full sunshine in September. In Valencia you will find both. From the city, you can take a 10-minute subway ride on the beach, or cycle around in a short half-hour, over one of the many bike paths. Also for Valencia, Ryanair offers an outcome, because from Weeze (just across the border in Germany) you literally fly for a few tens to this sunny Spanish city. On September 14th and back at 21 for example.
Overnight Valencia: Are you looking for a budget accommodation that is totally tip-top and close to the city center and the metro? Then XY Travelers Guesthouse has fun studios for you. If you prefer a whole apartment, Travel Habitat Plaza de Espana is definitely a good deal. Perhaps you’d rather sleep at the beach instead of in town. Then Sol Playa is perfect for you. You pay a little more per night.
Why not combine your sunshine with Valencia culture?
The lesser known silver coast of Portugal
Also on the Silver Coast of Portugal, it’s almost 30 degrees with plenty of sunshine over the next few weeks. Again, Ryanair is the cheapest, with her flights from Eindhoven, for example. For example, you fly on September 19th and return on September 26 for just over 100 euros. The Silver Coast is not yet known as the Algarve and misses the beautiful rock formations on its beaches, but it is true that you can take very nice excursions here, for example, to the beautiful medieval town of Obidos with its mighty city walls or the fishing village Nazaré (with its own lovely beach). A very nice sheltered beach in horseshoe shape is that of Sao Martinho do Porto. From here, day trips to Lisbon and Sintra are also possible.
Overnight Silver Coast: Not really very budget for September, with around 100 euros per night, but a perfect apartment for families, is that we have stayed overnight. At 100 meters from this beautiful bay and swimming pool you have nothing to spare about here. I really liked this place and would definitely recommend it.
Or you’re going to sleep in Nazaré. Nice fishing village and huge beach front door.Perfect, right ?! Do not mind walking for a quarter to the beach, then guesthouse Pombinha looks really great, and for no more than 40 euros a night for a double room. For a similar price, you also sleep in Redondo cream , 200 meters from the beach. Just a little less atmospheric, but also fine, definitely for that price.
An ideal accommodation for families on the Silver Coast of Portugal
Other options sun holiday september
It did not really take me much trouble to find these vacations for you and go with a little bit more options for a September sun holiday. For example, what about the Algarve, where it’s 30 degrees in the next few weeks, and where you can also find affordable airline tickets, in addition to cheap flights from the price fighters? Or one of the Greek islands, such as Rhodes , which in September are also delicious and very affordable. To Ibiza, great deals for flights and package tours can also be found for the coming month and we are very impressed with the beaches of Majorca . Unfortunately, I’m back to work and bound to school holidays, but I knew otherwise.
