From World Architecture News, origami lends a hand to UK architects creating this private residental extension. Because of the existing house’s unique geometric properties coupled with origami’s indefinite possibilities, the extension folds at the rear of the residency to create a new kitchen and dining space.




This is a very weak justification for a very ugly form. Just because it ‘folds’ does not make it origami. Origami requires an uncut piece of paper where folds and creses are used to generate form, not the other way around.
